An Ukrainian stand-up humorist considers “funny” that Donbass children are living in basements and now “don’t need to go to the school”.

“I come with news from the DPR” (Donetsk People’s Republic), says a humorist from the Ukrainian show “Vecherniy Kvartal” (Evening’s neighborhood) who wears an uniform of Donbass resistance militia and an airborne stripped shirt, “we promoted the education’s reform, my child’s dream became a reality, now I don’t need to go to school”, then the public applauds. Let’s remember that it was common among the nazi to take pictures grinning while they hanged civilians. Similar and even worse atrocities were committed by the Japanese forces against Chineses and another Asian peoples considered to be inferior, and the members of such forces loved to grin during such photos. In Abu Graib prisons American torturers used to take pictures smiling and grinning while torturing prisoners.

In Ukraine, many children have no basic Human Rights, such as the right to education, due to the intense artillery shells that fall over civilian zones. According to a Russian woman responsible for helping children with humanitarian aid, identified as “Svetlana”, one of the hardest faces of war are the children that, “instead of walking around with their parents and eat some ice cream with their friends are now living in basements”, in order to avoid artillery shells shot by pro-Kiev troops, including paramilitary units formed by neonazi and mercenaries.

Actually, in the “peaceful” Ukraine, beyond it’s Eastern borders, children receive a curious education. As reported by the British newspaper Dailymail, in Ukraine, children are being trained to kill Russians in training camps organized by Azov, a paramilitary unit composed by neonazi. Several videos available at internet show how children appear hailing while singing songs demanding the killing of Russians (more precisely, whatever they consider to be Russian). In one of them, two girls around 11 years old, display butcher knives and shout “Death to Moskalya” (Moskalya is a derogatory  term used against Russians).

Despite the fragile Minsk-2 agreement, several violations have been reported since the beginning of 2015, including the positioning of high caliber artillery pieces from Ukraine pro-Kiev troops close to the borders with the self-proclaimed People’s Republic of Donetsk and Lugansk.

The suffering of civilians is a reality in Donbass and it’s legitimated by the Kiev authorities, including the president Petro Poroshenko. In a speech, available at internet, Poroshenko claims that “we (pro-Kiev Ukrainians) shall have a job, and they (Donbass inhabitants) shall have no job… we shall have peace and their children shall sit in basements”.

According to the United Nations, the war in Donbass, Eastern Ukraine, already killed more than 5.486 people, including 59 children, injured 12.927, including 153 babies. In almost one year, Kiev government killed around 5,5 thousand people of their own country, a country that they claim to have “unification”. Millions of Ukrainians left the country since the beginning of Maydan to Russia and thousands went to Western Europe. In cities like Saint Petersburg the Ukrainians are now the largest group of immigrants, bypassing the number of immigrants from Uzbekistan.

How long the international community, specially Europe, shall close their eyes before a genocide? Do they inspect genocides only when the targeted country is a foe of the United States or European Union? Looks like some Human Rights organizations have their own understanding of who is really Human. This reality needs to be changed!

The bloody incident took place in the small Ukrainian village Melioratyvne, near the big city Dnipropetrovsk. A strong conflict flared up  between the villagers and armed mercenaries of “Aydar” battalion, which is fighting for the Ukrainian government against the Donbass. The mercenaries tried to demolish the only statue of Lenin located in the village in the middle of the night. The villagers asked the mercenaries why they came to destroy the statue, which triggered a fight between the battalion and the villagers. Some 20 civilians were seriously injured. When police officers arrived at the scene, they were standing next to the fighters of the “Aydar” battalion and did nothing. The Ukrainian media did not report this incident.
