After the separatists in Lugansk have shot down a military plane in the night of the 13th to 14th of april, that would take more soldiers of the Ukrainian army to Lugansk, Ukrainian neo-Nazis gathered in front of the Russian Embassy in Kiev. About 49 soldiers of the Ukrainian army were killed in the night before, when a military aircraft of the type “Ilyushin Il-76” on the way to Lugansk to suppress the local people was shot down. The separatists of the People’s Republic of Lugansk shot from the plane apparently. This drove ultra-nationalists and fascists on the streets. They started to attack the Russian Embassy in Kiev.

Vehicles of the embassy were destroyed and sprayed with Nazi symbols. These include swastikas and Celtic crosses. A black and red flag of the neo-Nazist right sector was hoisted at the fence of the embassy. The embassy was pelted with paint bombs in the Ukrainian national colors, its windows smashed with stones. Molotov cocktails were prepared to put the building on fire. Ukrainian special forces are reportedly around the corner, but they did not intervene.

In the evening the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affair advisor came out to calm down the crowd. Later the Ukrainian MP Nikolai Rudkovskyi (Socialist Party) tried to calm down the crowd, too. But he was forced to throw a stone at the Russian embassy and he was later splashed with paint and forced to ride public transport.

Two political left-wing activists were nearly kidnapped in the city of Kharkov on May 20th 2014. Police was by-standing the event and watching – in the end it even guarded the kidnappers. Denis Levin and fellow Borotba activist Svetlana Licht were brutally attacked at the end of a rally against the government and fascism near the Lenin monument at Freedom-Square in Kharkov by unknown individuals who are probably Right Sector paramilitary members and Neo-Nazis. The armed and masked persons pulled up in a van, grabbed Denis Levin, beat him and handcuffed him. They put Svetlana Licht in a choke-hold as she tried to help Levin. Fortunately, activists leaving the rally and bystanders rushed to their aid and managed to free them. Police did not intervene to help the activists or arrest the attackers, even after one of the “men in black” fired warning shots in the air.

While the ministry of interior is denying any involvement of itself or the police in this action a video appeared which is clearly showing that the armed and masked men are able to flee the scene with the help of the police. While bystanders are clearly showing the police that a kidnapping is taking place, the police is just watching the scene. Afterwards policemen are even guarding the van in which the armed and masked men arrived and now are hiding.

Official statements of the public authorities: “The law enforcement authorities determined all circumstances of the acts of hooliganism the unknown individuals committed at freedom square late on Tuesday”, the police said. “Neither representatives of political parties nor law enforcers have anything to do with this incident,” the PR department of the Interior Ministry main department for the Kharkov region said.

In the video the Ukrainian Right Sector neo-nazis hanged a Ukrainian militia in the forest. We don’t know yet where and when the video was filmed. However the Right Sector members are being recruited to join the Ukrainian National Army. The Ukrainian National Army today consists mostly of Right Sector members. The red and black flag that they is the flag of Ukrainian Fascism and of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), which assisted nazi Germany during the World War II. Ukrainian Insurgent Army murdered over 150,000 Jews in Babiy Yar in Kiev. Many Gypsies and Soviet POWs were also executed there. Over 100,000 women, children and unarmed men were slaughtered by UPA in Volhynia, Poland.
