The OSCE spokesman Neukirch stated in an interview on Austrian television and that the soldiers who were detained in eastern Ukraine are not part of any OSCE mission, but in fact members of an intelligence mission of the German army.
The OSCE spokesman Claus Neukirch has confirmed on Austrian broadcaster ORF that the detainees were not acting in Slavjansk within the framework of the OSCE Mission and no were no observers. So far, the OSCE had no contact with them.
How Neukirch explained, is not to OSCE military experts, but military observers, who were under the guise of the OSCE mandate way to Slavjansk. Currently it is not the OSCE that is negotiating with the people who arrested the soldiers, but the Ministry of Defence and the Foreign Office of Germany. The Ukrainian government has invited these experts, as well as three soldiers and an interpreter.
